Margo Anne Nickerson (Carson)
February 6, 1947 – December 30, 2022
Margo Anne (Carson) Nickerson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margo at the Dartmouth General Hospital on December 30, 2022. She was 75 years young. Margo was born in Dartmouth on February 6, 1947 to Rex and Flora (McNeil) Carson. She leaves behind her brother Jack (Marilyn) Carson, sister-in-law Carol Carson, niece Mario (Chris) Reagan. She will also be greatly missed by great nieces Lizzy and Anna and nephew Carson Reagan. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Jim Carson, nephew Stephan and niece Jillian Carson. She recently lost her husband Bill Nickerson (July 13, 2022).
Margo was a great people person. Everyone would remark on her “Pink Hair” and her colourful words. She always had a joke to tell you, funny or not. Her saying was that “she could embarrass a fleet of sailors”, but those who knew her also knew that was just her way to cope with life. Margo had a large extended family for she had no children. If you were her true friend then you were family.
We would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics at Dartmouth General Hospital for their care and understanding of Margo over the years.
A “Celebration of Life” will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at the Church of the Holy Spirit” 1 Regency Drive, Dartmouth. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers donations to the Lung Association would be welcome.
