The passing of Margaret Mary Dressaire of Fredericton , NB , wife of Michel Dressaire occurred on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 12, 1941 in Hearts Desire, NL, she was the daughter of the late James and Alice (Coombs) St. George. Margaret was a beloved school teacher who touched the lives of many students, staff and communities throughout Atlantic Canada, finishing her career as an EAL teacher at Royal Road Elementary School . Margaret enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, cooking with her husband and being a Lion with the Barker’s Point Northside Lions Club.
In addition to her husband, Margaret is survived by her children, Nathalie Dressaire, Danielle Williams (Hayward) and Michael Dressaire; grandchildren, Kailey, Brenden, Kaitlyn and Landon; brother, James “Tubby” St. George; son in law, Rodney MacIsaac; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Pat St. George, Madonna Oates and Frances Byrne.
The Funeral Service will take place at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 11am with Father Maria Arokiam Chinnappan as celebrant. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides.
