PARKHOUSE: Margaret (Peggy) Jean – passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 20, 2023 at St Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener with her family by her side. Margaret was in her 78th year.
Beloved wife of Lloyd, cherished mother of Jennifer (Troy) and Jeff. Dearly missed by her grandchildren Taylor (Riley), Megan, Brianna, Tysen and Natasha (Dalton).
Predeceased by parents Gordon and Clara Lamont, and siblings Ethel Goodwin, and Cliff and Douglas Lamont.
Peggy loved baking squares, sewing, knitting, and watching her favourite soap operas; Days of Our Lives and Coronation Street. She was also an avid reader, especially enjoying James Patterson books. She loved her family dearly and always kept everyone laughing with the great stories that she would share.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Glendinning Funeral Home, Plattsville. At Peggy’s request, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at the Chesterfield Cemetery.
The family would like to express our thanks and gratitude to the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for their care and compassion during Peggy’s stay.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Lung Association or The Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences can be posted at www.gffh.ca
