It is with great sadness, love and gratitude that mom passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Wednesday June 21, 2023 at Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 95.
Loving mother of Valerie Lever (Des) of Timmins, Carolanne Halkes (Bill) of Barrie, Ont.
Loving grandmother of Luanne Brazeau (Yvan) Todd Lever and Willie Halkes.
Great grandmother to Desmond, Hunter, Gabrielle, Georgia and Rosie.
Survived by one sister Margo Caron (late Harvey), her sisters-in-law Liz Giguere (Mike) and Helen McCorkel (late Clare) and by her brother-in-law Norman Bilotti.
Predeceased by her husband Val Bilotti (2007), as well as her sisters; Alma Atkinson (Jack), Aileen Hayes (Ambrose), Leonie Degrace (Matt), Joan Omiccioli (Lido), Tony Brunette (Hubert) and her brother Jack Danis (Lyn).
Mom was a woman of beauty, poise and wisdom.
She lived a purposeful life anchored by her deep faith. She worked many years in a drug store dispensary. She enjoyed the outdoors, loved her cup of tea, reading, ironing, meeting people and being involved with family.
Gramma Lou as she was known to all, will be remembered for her wittiness and curious nature. She will be missed by several nieces and nephews whom shared so many fun filled visits with her.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 1pm at St-Joseph Church.
Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
