Obituary of Louise Scott
SCOTT: M. Louise (nee Ferguson) –
A resident of the Duart area, Louise Scott passed away at the Blenheim Community Village on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the age of 93.
Born in Harwich Township, Louise was the daughter of the late Thomas and Vera (Toll) Ferguson.
Beloved wife of 41 years to the late Gordon Scott (2001).
Mother of Barb Scott Cole (Allan), Laurie Scott, Ken Scott (Lynette) and Ted Scott (Tara). Special Aunt to Paul Ferguson (Amy-Jo).
Grandmother to Carson Cole, John Cole, Bruce Cole; Carlene Scott, Colin Scott, Craig Scott, Caryn Scott; Carson Scott, Kate Scott and Sydney Scott; Thompson Ferguson and Caroline Ferguson.
Sister to the late Jim Ferguson (late Carol).
Sister-in-law to the late Esther Mifflin (late Murray).
Louise treasured her longstanding 70+ year friendship with Naureen Mc Donald, and the late Marg Green..
Also missed by friends and extended family.
Louise’s life revolved around her family, her church, farming and the Mary Webb Centre. She taught for many years at various schools and was an active UCW member.
Louise enjoyed camping and the outdoors and loved having tea with friends and neighbours.
As per Louise’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 7:00 – 9:00pm. A Celebration of Louise’s life will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00am on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Interment to follow at Gosnell Cemetery, Highgate.
Donations made in memory of Louise to the Mary Webb Centre, Turin United Church or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
