It is with deep sadness that we announce
the passing of Lorna Biddle, age 82, of
Coburg, NB. Lorna passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at
the Sackville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of
the late Cecil and Mary (Thibodeau) Gouchie.
Lorna was a wonderful wife, mother and
grandmother. She was very active in her church, both the
United Church in Baie Verte and the Anglican Churches in Baie Verte
and Mt. Whatley and was a member of the ACW. She was active
on the Westford Nursing Home Committee and worked at the Port Elgin
Town Hall and Library. She loved to bowl and walk, and
participated in a local exercise group.
She will be dearly missed by her partner
Dean Scopie, Coburg, NB; children Darren (Roxanne Nickerson), Halifax,
NS, Wayne, Moncton, NB, Tammy (Mark) Jones, Moncton, NB;
grandchildren, David, Jordan, Ben, Logan, Justin and Alyssa; step
daughters Sharon, Sadie, Sylvia, and Susan; brother Roger (Sandy)
Gouchie, Amherst.
She was predeceased by her first husband
David Biddle, daughter Karen Cormier, brother Kenny (Donna) Gouchie;
sister Jean (Charles) Smith.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
Jones Funeral Home, Port Elgin and
Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) Cremation has taken
place. A service of remembrance will be held by her family
at the St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Baie Verte at 2 pm on Sunday, July
23, 2023. A graveside service will be held for the family in
the Amherst Cemetery at a late date.
