It is a sadness we all share. Today on September 22, 2023, in her 80th year with family by her side, Lois M. Davis-Smith passed away peacefully in her sleep. Lois was born on May 12th, 1944 in St. Thomas to the late Burton and Grace (Brooks) Davis.
She is survived by her sister Doreen (Jim) Coombs, by her brother Robert “Roger” (Lynda) Davis, by her cousins Bob (Janice) Davis, Louise (late Graeme -2023) Brawley, by several nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends.
Predeceased by her sister Bernice Abell (2022) and her husband Bill Abell (2018); and by her brother Jim Davis (2017).
If this life she leaves behind is any indication of the next journey she undertakes, we all will be blessed with uncertainty and love for others untold.
The love you gave to others and the deeds of caring will never be forgotten. May there always be a cool breeze on your face, a warm breeze in your back, and eyes full of wonderment.
Rest well, our sister. And may the hand of God always be upon you.
Cremation has taken place and a private interment of ashes will be held in Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery on a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). If desired, donations in memory of Lois can be made to Parkinson Canada, or the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation. Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
The family would like to thank the staff at S.T.E.G.H for their professionalism, kindness, and care that Lois was given. It was greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
