GAREAU, Lois Mildred (nee Tier) –
Lois Gareau passed away peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2023 at the Sault Area Hospital in her 83rd year. Reunited with her husband, Don Gareau.
Lois was born on August 23, 1940, to the late Hilda and Gordon Tier. Cherished mother of Janice (Keith), John (Jenni), Judy (Chris) Wilmott, the late Jodi and Jennifer. Loving grandmother of Kaitlyn, Devin, Tynisa, Jonathan (Hilary) and Codi and his mother, Renee. Special great grandmother of Nathan. Dear sister of the late Susan Tier, late Peggy Poulton, late Raymond Tier, late Paul Tier, late Dave Tier and late Dan Tier. Sister-in-law of Bob (Margaret) Poulton, Wendy Tier and Peggy Tier. Adored aunt of Shawn, Patrick, Caleb, Sebastian, Ken, Kevin, Gord, Christine, Nick and Ashley.
A heartfelt thank you to the ICU staff at the Sault Area Hospital especially, Carla, Debbie and Robbie Lee for their compassionate care towards Lois.
In following Lois’ wishes, cremation has taken place. A spring internment will be held at the Goulais River Cemetery. Memorial donations made to ARCH would be greatly appreciated by the family (payable by cheque or following the link below).
