It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend on May 1, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at home after a courageous battle with cancer . Lisa Newhook (nee Peddle) age 59 years.
Predeceased by her father David Peddle.
Leaving to mourn with love and cherished memories are her loving daughters: Nicole Peddle and husband Trevor who were by her side every step of her journey and cared for her until the end . Samantha Piercey and Cynthia Piercey and her devoted mother Myrtle Peddle.
Lisa’s partner of 10 years, Gary Sellars; his children: Gary Jr.,Krista, Bradley and his daughter Destiny Siblings: Norman (Helen),Marie (Wayne) Timothy (Pam), Stanley(Deloris) and Lorraine . nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
We would like to extended endless thanks and love to Myrtle “Nan” you have been our rock, our friend, our shoulder to cry on, you have been everything to us. Your guidance, support and love will never be forgotten. We also thank the Miller Centre, Public Health Nurse Jennifer Codner and P.C.U. Dr. Noreen Fardy for your compassion and care shown to Lisa and our family.
We would also like to extend our appreciation for the food, love and support that was shown to us from our family, extended family and friends during her illness. We are forever grateful.
Lisa will always be remembered for her love of Tea… Tetly tea or Tim’s tea. Whenever you saw Lisa there was always a cup in her hand! Lisa was the life of the party, always making others laugh. When you were around her you would always have a smile and laughter. She loved being social and loved her shopping adventures. She was a true friend.
Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from 4:00pm – 9:00pm.
A Celebration of Lisa’s Life will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 1:00 pm from Barrett’s Mount Pearl Chapel. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
