LINDA DARLENE PEPPERDINE-LING
PEPPERDINE-LING, LINDA – peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, in her own home on her own terms, with her Beloved husband & Best friend Brad by her side, surrounded by a circle of beautiful friendships & family. Just shy of 24 years of marriage.
Linda was born in Owen Sound July 24, 1962. Raised in Owen Sound & Thornhill, Ont.
To know profound love & profound sadness is what Linda felt in her heart & soul. Linda was a true empath. She cared for both of her parents Robert & Edna Pepperdine & her in-Laws, Stanley & Leona Masales dearly. Step-daughter Brenna was cared for at home with palliative measures. Linda supported our daughter and met every need of our special girl. She cared for her Aunt Lenore & Uncle Norm with tender hands.
Linda is survived & loved by her brother Wayne Pepperdine (Debbie). Her brother Brien Pepperdine (predeceased) (Veronica Bergs).
Linda will be forever cherished & loved by her family: Sister, Shirley & Eldon Hancott; Beverley (Jackson & Lincoln); Christopher (Jessie & Theodore). Linda was a precious second mom to both Bev & Chris. She loved them dearly.
Our family in Tillsonburg “Randy & Colette Latendre”, all their amazing children & grand-children embraced both of us into their “Family forever tattoo” program. It’s an amazing love that is forever gifted to us. Forever grateful. Linda’s last night was shared with laughter & cheer with Randy, Colette & her husband Brad, sharing a few drinks & memories.
Linda shares wonderful memories with her cousins: Roger & Dorothy Genoe; Ron Genoe.
Linda was a dedicated Nurse for 30 years. She explored many nursing areas from Long Term Care, Palliative Care to Acute Care. Unfortunately, her career ended abruptly after a tragic accident at work. Linda as a well respected and she was granted an “Award of Excellence in Nursing Practice”. Unfortunately, Linda has “struggled very significantly” the last 15 years with a “Fatal Neurological condition”.
Linda enjoyed our travels together as we shared many great times in Mexico for 20 winters. We were blessed with many travel friendships. Linda would bloom with smiles in the Caribbean. She had a love for the ocean and would float for hours of tranquility. Her love for “Snorkeling” brought Linda so much “Joy”.
Linda always loved to explore other countries and meet the local people. No matter where Linda was, you would always find my wife trying to help someone in need. My wife was a very strong woman. Linda shared a love for music. Linda always ‘loved a great time” with laughter and many good times she often would be “full of beans” to have a good laugh on someone else’s expense.
Linda has always been a lover of all animals. She will be forever missed by her fur-babies, Tiffany & Teqo. They shared so much love for each other. They were so dear to Linda.
Esther from Ghana, Africa will miss her Granny’s calls of warmth & encouragement.
Linda’s sincere friendships were very important to her. Linda was overwhelmed with the out pour of “love & support” from her Hancott family; Latendre family; many dear friendships, cousins & colleagues; she received many visits, cards, flowers, gifts & phone visits. Her heart & cup was full.
I extend sincere gratitude & love to CarePartner’s PSW’s, Nicole Bloomfield, Jenyl Hamilton, Lorna Covey, Tracey Smyth.
Nurse, Johanna Dekker
Jean Oliver, VON Vonteer
Dr. Dmitry Guller of Orillia, Ont.
Dr. Eric Thomas
Dr. Jim MacLean
Until we meet again, Rest in Peace, my one and only forever love.
There is no service at Linda’s request.
Linda will be resting in Tillsonburg Cemetery at a later date.
