It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lillian Marie Vaters (nee Boland), announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at the age of 81.
She leaves to mourn her children: Rita Butt (Eric), Sylvia Park (Doug), Patsy Snooks, William (Wendy), Patrick (Michelle), Philomena Kendell (Tony), Rosanna Stewart (Terrance), Kirk (Jennifer), Christopher (Crystal) & Neil (Alison); 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sisters: Madonna Hooper, Mary Wall (Bob) & Christina McCarthy (Robert) and brothers: Philip Boland (Margaret) & Kevin Boland (Julie) along with a large circle of extended family and friends.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband Joseph, granddaughter Thrifena Vaters, grandsons Stephen Snooks and Richard Stewart, parents William & Rita Boland, parents-in-law William and Thrifena Vaters, and brothers Patrick and Sydney (Bud) Boland.
Visitations will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, Corner Brook, on Sunday and Monday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 4 at 11:00 a.m. from Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church in Benoit’s Cove, with Father Edward Terry officiating.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or donations may be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea or a charity of one’s choice.
