Obituary of Leonard Wilson Pickering
Leonard Wilson Pickering, born and raised in Lakeside, passed away peacefully of leukemia on August 6, 2023 at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband of 57 years to June (nee Coddington). Loving father of Tammy & Wilson Brown of Grand Bend, and Charlene & Shawn Perrin of Woodstock. Grandfather of Mitch McCall and Kim Consitt of Zurich, Brayden McCall of Stratford, Jessica McCall of Grand Bend, Hunter Brown & Kyra Ramos of Grand Bend, and Tristan Brown of Grand Bend. Great-Grandfather to Allie, Lincoln, Oaklynn, Seth, Levi, and Noah. Also left mourning Leonard are his family: Brothers – Jim, Joe (Chris), George, Brian (Barb), David (Jean), Brothers & Sisters in Law – Joanne Pickering, Jack Coddington, Jim & Karen Coddington, Margaret Delong, Ruth Fletcher, Bill Coddington (Nancy), Brenda Coddington, Helen & Rob Chesterfield, Marianne Coddington, Jean Carroll (Jim). Survived and loved by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Predeceased by his parents Alex & Myrtle Pickering, his siblings: Jean, Lloyd “Pat”, Joan, and Ronald; brothers-in-law: Jack Noon, Arnold DeLong, Murray Fletcher, Lawrence “Baldy” Coddington, Ken Coddington, Nelson Coddington, and his sisters-in-law: Marilyn Pickering, Jean Pickering, Betty Harburn, Pat Coddington, and Joyce Coddington.
Cremation has taken place. Private interment in Lakeside Cemetery on the Hill.
