It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence George Walsh on April 12, 2023, at the age of 64 years. He leaves to mourn, with fond and loving memories, his son: Jeffery (Madeline); granddaughters: Julz and Sommer; siblings: Tina, Elaine (Robert), Amanda (Shawn), Lisa (Rick), Kenneth (Paula), Juanita (Andy), Darlene (Jim), Kerry (Joy), Nancy (Walter) and Rose (Ray), as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Lawrence was predeceased by his son: David; parents: Ula and David; niece: Rebecca; great-niece: Courtney; and great-nephew: Emerson.
A public visitation will take place at Fillatre Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, on Friday, April 14th from the hours of 7-9pm. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 15th at 11:00am at Fillatre Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, with Major Brian Wheeler officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lawrence’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
We want to express our greatest thanks to the staff of the 6th floor of Western Memorial Regional Hospital and the staff of 3 North in Corner Brook Long Term Care for the wonderful care they have given Larry over the past 23 years. Also, a special thank you to his sister Nancy for the devotion and care she provided to Larry during his many years spent in Long Term Care.
