Laura Magdalene Kuntz passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023, in Moose Jaw, SK at the age of 101 years. Laura was one of nine children, born and raised on a farm near Prelate, SK. She attended Gladwin country school and later attended high school at the Ursuline Academy in Prelate. Laura was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Adam; parents Simon and Philippine (Tumbach); and five sisters, Katherine (Goldade), Angela (Gaetz), Anne, Claudia, and Margaret. Laura is survived by her sister Brigitta and brothers Matt and Henry, as well as many nieces and nephews. Laura taught in many country schools around Saskatchewan. Her last placement was at Holy Rosary School in Regina, SK. Her 35 years of teaching were greatly enjoyed. During her retirement, she and Adam enjoyed many tours and activities such as painting, dancing, and travelling to Hawaii eleven times. After Adam’s passing, Laura relocated to Mulberry Estates in Moose Jaw until she experienced a decline in her health. Her last two years were spent at Providence Place. Laura and her family members were very thankful for the wonderful care and compassion of the staff. Although she was unable to walk during the last few years of her life, she never complained and saw her lot in life as God’s will. Always a woman with a very strong faith, she was ready for her eternal life with Jesus. Rest peace, dear Laura. A Funeral Mass will take place at Blessed Sacrament Parish on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 12:05 p.m. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
