With both sorrow and thanksgiving, the family of Lester Kryvenchuk announce his
passing on December 30th 2022 at the age of 87. They will morn their loss while
rejoicing in the reunion of Les with his beloved wife, Ruth. Those that will forever
cherish his memory are his children; Ken (Teresa), Kirk (Paul), Kerry-Lynne, and
Kevin (Roxane); his grandchildren, Jonathan (Molly) and Meghan; his sister,
Jeanette Haskins; his niece, Avery (Jordy) Ryhorchuk; and Ruth’s four nieces,
Anita, Rose, Shirley, and Eleanor. Countless friends and strangers were touched
by his life, and they will also miss his ministering spirit and gentle ways.
Les led a life devoted to serving God and his fellow man. From the least of them
to the greatest, Les lifted them up and affirmed their worth as equals and beloved
children of God. Blessed of God, he blessed many. While we shall morn for a
season, we offer a prayer of gratitude for this man and his life. “Well done, thou
good and faithful servant.”
A remembrance of life will be celebrated on Saturday, January 7th 2023 at
Northgate Baptist Church (13208 95 Street) at 1:00 PM. Donations to honour Les
may be made to Hope Mission, Northgate Baptist Church, or a charity of one’s
choice.
