Obituary of Kirby Dudley Sears
It is with great sadness that the family of Kirby Dudley Sears age 84, announces his passing at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Saturday, March 25, 2023.
He was born in Midgic, NB on September 25, 1938 and was the son of the late Hudson and Alice (Hicks) Sears.
Kirby worked for Lounsbury’s in Sackville as well as for City Chrysler in Moncton, NB and was a Volunteer Fireman in Sackville from 1969 to the early 1980’s, Kirby retired in 1981 due to illness.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, the former Karen Steeves; his daughter, Natalie (Donnie); his granddaughter, Desiree (Tanner); his sister, Brenda Estabrooks (Allister); his niece, Tracy (Bain); his nephew, Todd Estabrooks (Betty Jo); his brothers-in-law, Donnie, Kennie, Alan, Kevin and James Steeves; his sister-in-law, Donna Hicks as well as by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Donnie as well as by his nephew, Aaron.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, Sackville (506) 364-8188. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at a later date in the Midgic Cemetery, date and time to be announced.
