With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kimberly Jane Diane Wood (Nee Dudley) on Saturday July 22, 2023 at Chatham Kent Health Alliance. Born in Chatham 52 years ago. Daughter of Robert and Marilyn Dudley. Beloved wife of Tracy for over 10 years. Step mother of Jay (Courtney), Madison and Macie. Dear sister of Mickey (Monica) of Chatham and Robert Jr. (Stacey) of Windsor. Aunt of Joshua, Brandy (Michael) and Jessika. Great aunt of Addyson, Nikodemus. Sister in law of Corey Wood (Dawn). Survived by best friend cousins Desiree (Eric), Melanie (Chris), Noel (Christine), Dustin , Marshall (Jackie) and Stockton (Di). Also survived by several friends, family and extended family. For much of her professional life Kim worked hard as a developmental service worker. Kim loved sports of all kinds. She enjoyed playing volleyball, basketball, fastball and slow pitch over the years. She cheered for the New York Yankees and later in life came to love the Toronto Maple Leafs with her husband. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all those that loved her. All are welcome to attend a time of remembrance from 10:30 am – 12 noon followed by a memorial service at 12 noon at First Baptist Church (135 King St E.) To best match Kim wishes the family asks that guests come dressed casual and comfortable wearing a favorite sports jersey. Memorial donations can be directed to the Lung Association.
