Obituary
It is with tremendous heart break we announce the unexpected passing of our cherished daughter, mother, sister and friend on Monday, February 27, 2023, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Kayla June Baker age 25 years.
Predeceased by her grandparents: John and Jessie Rees and William and Elizabeth Baker; uncle Tommy Baker and aunt Shirley Goobie.
Leaving to mourn with cherished memories her loving parents Gerald and Beverly (nee Rees); precious daughters: Mia and Summer; her adored brother and sister: Steven (Stephanie) and Ashley (Scott) Selby; special friend Joshua Peach; aunts and uncles: Eymard (Mary), John, Colin, Bill, Cathy Seward Pam (Ted) Picco, Clyde (Mary) Rees and Barbara (Patrick) Cahill, cousins, extended family and friends.
Kayla’s world were her children Mia and Summer, she gave them love, comfort and true happiness. They always came first.
Kayla lived life full of energy, sweetness and kindness, she was selfless always putting others before herself. Her laughter will greatly be missed. We will cherish our many memories of Kayla and hold them close to our hearts.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave.., Mount Pearl on Saturday and Sunday, March 4 & 5, 2023 from 2:00 -4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 11:00 am from Barrett’s Mount Pearl Chapel. To virtually attend the service please visit www.barretts.ca and follow the link provided.
Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Galway.
