Obituary of Kay Adams
It is with great sadness that the loving family of Kathleen L. J. Adams share her passing on January 17th, 2023 at the Church of St. John & St. Stephen Home in Saint John, New Brunswick. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick on October 19th, 1936; she was predeceased by her parents Edward and Eunice Chappell; and siblings Harry, Gordon, Donnie, Lorne, Ida and Della.
Kathleen is the wife of the late Arnold N. Adams and is survived by her three sons, Gerald (Jane), Hugh (Linda) and Norman (Kim); her grandchildren Hilda, Heather (Rob) and Mark; and great grandchildren Alyssa (Andrew) and Alia; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Kay was an avid Skip Bo player, gracious hostess and experienced seamstress and cook. Well known for her baking and needlecraft, she was hardworking and generous.
The family would like to thank her caregivers Maureen, Wanda and Mary, as well as the nursing home staff.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation; a Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 28th at Saint John’s Anglican Church in Oromocto, New Brunswick. Interment will take place in the spring. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made in Kay’s honour to the Church of St. John & St. Stephen Home through their website (www.churchhomenet.org) or www.canadahelps.org (search the site for business number 106925183RR0001) or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
