Joycelynn Marilyn Duffy (Nee Harrington) (August 06th, 1959 – March 21st 2023)
It is with the greatest sadness that Joycelynn, (Joyce), passed away after a long and trying illness at the Queensway Carleton on March the 21st, 2023. Joyce was in her 64th year, predeceased, very much-loved wife and best friend of her devoted husband, James Duffy for 45 years, and loving Mother to her daughter, April, of Ottawa, and granddaughter Trinity, of Ottawa. Joyce will be missed dearly by her sisters Cindy (Radley), Iris (Crannie) of Meaford, Rosalie (Harrington) from the Golden Lake area, and her brother Jimmy (Harrington) of Pembroke. She is survived by her many nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews.
She moved into the Kemptville area in 1993, spending most of her time here serving others as well as working at the old Bayfield Manor and, more recently, the Southbridge Home Care in Kemptville.
Joycelynn was a strong, incredibly beautiful, good natured, soulful individual who cared for all those that knew her, bringing wellness and kind fellowship to the many friends that she made and to all those who knew her. Wherever she would go, people connected with her and gave her a wave and a smile, or had a quick chat, something that gave her much joy. She cherished all of the many contacts she had made over the years.
She was my best friend and the only love I will ever have. She will be dearly missed by her many workmates and friends; they were all dear relationships that had brought her meaning over the years.
Special thanks to all those who aided her throughout the course of the illness; this brought comfort to her and provided heart felt well wishes during this period of time. The funeral will be a private affair and any donations will be gratefully applied to the Lung Association for there on-going research into lung disease and finding cures.
