Way, Joseph Vincent –
Died peacefully on Friday July 14, 2023 at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood surrounded by his loving family at the age of 92. Joseph was a long time Collingwood resident was the loving husband of Betty Lu (nee Tonner) for over 46 years. Loving father of the late Dwight Way, Hope Way, Eugene (Hazel) Way, Floyd Way, Cheryl (Peter) Young and Mary Weldon. Cherished grandfather of Jamie, Vanessa, Marco, Jeff, Wendy, Tina, Adam, Steve, Mike, David (Crystal) and great grandfather of Charly, Jessie Rose, Emma, Zander, Chase, Jake, Alisa, Josiah, Alizandra, Curtis, Ronan, Relic, Miah, Tyron Riley, Aiden and Ashley. Predeceased by his parents Earl Way and Theresa (nee Hawkins).
Joseph and Betty Lu moved to Collingwood in 1970 and called Collingwood home. Joseph worked for many years as a truck driver hauling aggregates. Joseph and Betty Lu loved to watch sports, especially golf on television. He was a collector of horse figurines. He was a kind and generous man who was truly devoted to his family. He was a tremendous role model for his children and grandchildren. He leaves an impeccable legacy.
Friends are invited to join Joseph’s family at the Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood on Saturday August 19, 2023 from 10 a.m. for the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11 o’clock. If desired, a donation to Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House would be appreciated by his family.
