Obituary
Joseph Romeo Leblanc, 83, passed away peacefully at Lakeview Manor in Riverview, NB on September 9, 2023. Romeo was born in Moncton, the son of Joseph Alban Leblanc and Matilda Collette.
He was a longtime employee of the City of Moncton Parks and Recreation Department .
Romeo was predeceased by his wife Louise Maynard who was the love of his life, his parents, his stepmother Anna LeBlanc who held a special place in his heart, his brothers Louie (in infancy), Roger and Robert, sisters Dora Baraley, Alice Gallant, Norma MacKinnon, Doris McInnis, May Lewis and son Travis Maynard. He is survived by brother Michael Leblanc (Wendy), sisters Joanne (Dave) and Elizabeth (Steve), daughter Christina Maynard and son Leonard Maynard as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to family and friends who visited Romeo during his illness and thanks to the staff of Lakeview Manor for their compassion and care. Your thoughtfulness meant so much to Romeo.
In lieu of flowers for those who wish, a donation to your preferred charity would be appreciated by the family.
Funeral service will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) at 11:00 am on Thursday September 21st, 2023.
Interment to follow at Fairhaven Cemetery 1177 Salisbury Road.
