Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in his 87th year. Jake is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, June Kent (nee Collins). Predeceased by his parents Emily and John as well as his brothers Ken, Doug & Don. Much beloved sons Rick (Laurie), Greg (Bonnie), Steve (Diane) & Barry (Sandra). Missed by his grandchildren Lindsey, Jordan (Elena), Kortney (Tyler), Kelly, Robyn (Robert), Ryan, Chelsea (Michael), Brayden (Nicole), Abigail & Jacob. Remembered by great grandchildren Colton, Hunter, Jack & Patrick. Lovingly remembered by brother Vern (Marilyn), sister Carol (Don), in-laws Leo, Anne (Bill), Marie (Jim), Frank (Imelda).
Family would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at the Lakeridge Health Oshawa, the Emergency Department, the Supportive Care Unit & Hillsdale Long Term Care. A special thanks to everyone who took care of “Jakie”.
A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
