Passed away peacefully at home, August 1, 2023 in his 94th year. John is survived by his loving wife of 71 years Molly – children Johnny, Michael, Brian, Lynne, Mary and Paul and their spouses; grandchildren and great grandchildren. John and Molly emigrated to Canada from Scotland in 1952, where they raised a family in Hamilton. John went on to become a successful First Class Stationary Engineer at the Steel Company of Canada. He retired at age 62. He will be missed by many. Visitation will be held at P.X. Dermody Funeral Homes, 796 Upper Gage Avenue (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Tuesday August 8, between 7:00PM and 9:00PM. A service will be held at Regina Mundi Catholic Church at 631 Mohawk Rd. W, Hamilton on Wednesday August 9, 2023 at 10:30 AM. Cremation to follow.
