Obituary
John D. Hall, 78, of Riverview, passed away within the comforts of his home on Thursday, March 9, 2023 with his beloved wife by his side. Born in East York, Ontario, he was the son of the late Michael and Bernice (Haskel) Hall.
John was a faithful attender of Surrey Valley Baptist Church. In his younger years he was an avid racewalker, and coach. The past few decades John has always kept himself busy, working as a woodsman and selling bibles. He enjoyed watching boats on the lakes back in Ontario, an interest that followed him to New Brunswick with his collection of figurine sailboats.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 35 years, Shirley Hall (nee Barnes); daughters, Amy Riley (Ray), Kendra Whitelaw (Brody) and Rebecca “Becky” Hall; stepsons, Bradley (Tracy), Gregory (Joyce) and Chadwick; 6 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren; sister, Maureen Yeo (late Earl); his extended family, friends and lastly his beloved pets; cats, Bob and ACBB and dogs, Willow and Myah.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Eddy; and brother in-law Earl.
A service in memory of John will be held at Surrey Valley Baptist Church 3039 Main St Hillsborough, NB on Tuesday, March 14th 2023. Visitation begins at 1:00PM, service will be held at 2:00PM and a reception to follow. Interment will happen at a later date.
