Jocelyne Swan, 72, of Whitehorse passed away on January 31, 2023, after a hard battle with cancer. She is now with her Lord and is finally free of pain.
“Lynn” is survived by her children Cory, Steve, Kristie; grandchildren; sister Laurene; sisters by choice Jean and Deanna; many cousins, friends and her little dog Dixie. She is pre-deceased by sons Gerald and Richard, and her parents.
Jocelyne earned her BScN in 1989, and went on to become a nurse practitioner. She worked in northern Manitoba communities prior to returning to the Yukon. She was the nurse in charge at Beaver Creek, Carcross, and Watson Lake. Eventually she returned to Whitehorse and worked with communicable disease serving marginalized clients. This work brought Lynn satisfaction and joy.
Lynn was the kindest and least judgmental person we ever knew. She will be missed by all.
