Obituary
Van Fleet, Joan – It is with sad and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Joan on December 30th 2022.
Mom passed away peacefully at Nipissing Manor with family by her side. She was called home to be with her Saviour where there is no pain or tears, but peace and rest.
Joan was the beloved wife of Robert Van Fleet / Morris McLachlan both deceased.
Joan had six children Margaret, Robert “Jimmy” (deceased), Marshall, Jennifer, David and Scott. She was the proud grandmother and GG of Darren, Ashley, Cassandra, Melissa, Jimmy, Tiffany, Matthew, Madison, Brittney, Courtney, Carly, Tyler, Makenzie, David, Joon, Finley, Josephine, Westyn and Grayson. She will be missed by her sister Mae, niece Linda and nephew Dale and her other extended family.
Joan loved to dance, she was kind and generous. She was always willing and ready to give a helping hand to anyone in need.
She worked at the Bata Shoe Company, The Nugget, Tidas Book Store and the Ascot and Chicago Restaurants. Her smile was as radiant as the sun. Joan loved to go for car rides and listen & sing along to gospel songs. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Mom we love you—Until we meet again.
The family would like to than Dr. Rogers and the Nipissing Manor staff for the excellent care and kindness.
