Obituary of Jim Charbonneau
CHARBONNEAU: James Arthur “Jim”-
A resident of Chatham and formerly of Ridgetown area, Jim Charbonneau passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Monday, March 20, 2023 at the age of 87.
Jim was the son of the late Adolphus and Laura Charbonneau.
Beloved husband to the late Marjorie (nee Pfaff).
Loving father to Darrin Charbonneau (Cathleen Benjamin).
Predeceased by his brothers Lyle, Hubert and Ralph.
Jim worked in manufacturing for many years, eventually retiring from Siemens.
Jim and Marjorie both loved dogs and going camping around Ontario.
A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at the McKinlay Reception Centre, 463 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 1:00 – 4:00pm. Cremation has taken place. A Private Family Burial will be held at St. Michael’s Cemetery at a later date.
Special thanks to the staff of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the 4th Floor Complex Care Unit and the ICU for their wonderful care and compassion. Thank you to the staff and volunteers at the Chatham Retirement Resort and Copper Terrace for the care and friendship over the years.
Donations made in memory of Jim to the Pet and Wildlife Rescue or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
