On January 6, 2023, Jereden Logan Claude Herman of Cold Lake First Nations passed away at the age of 23 years. He is survived by his girlfriend, Kayden Alexan; mother, Shermayna Desjarlais (Kevin Beaver); father, Jerry Herman Jr.; step-father, Douglas Renner; sister, Brooklynne Desjarlais; nieces, Kasha & Kora Desjarlais; grandparents, Jerry & Violet Herman and Reverend Claude Desjarlais; aunties, Colleen Herman & Cheryl Amable (Aaron); uncles, Wesley Amable & Claude Jr. Desjarlais; cousins, Rowen-Rose, Brittani-Rose, Garette, Gailyn, Ben Cummings, Chloe Tse, Montana Janvier & Joshua Amable. Jereden was predeceased by his grandmother, Evelyn Desjarlais; great-grandmother, Helen Chanalquay; aunty, Becky Chanalquay; nephew, Baby Thomas Desjarlais. A Wake will be held on Monday & Tuesday, January 16 & 17 at Spiritual Centre, Cold Lake First Nations (leaving Grace Gardens at 1:00 p.m. with special visit & balloon release at Miracle Valley Gospel Church, Elizabeth Metis Settlement). A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 18 at 1:00 p.m. at Spiritual Centre, Cold Lake First Nations.
