Jonckheere, Jean (“Jeanne”) Louise (August 16, 1962 – May 11, 2023)
Jeanne passed away, peacefully, after a struggle with illness, on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, at the age of 60. Jeanne was a long-time resident of Tillsonburg, and she will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and friend by those who knew her. She loved all animals and could be described as a giving and kind-hearted person. Jeanne struggled with the recent loss of her much-loved daughter Alison Jonckheere-Csinos (June 30, 2022). Jean is survived by her much-loved grandchild “Jack” Jonckheere, by her caring brother and sister-in-law Michael and Margaret Jonckheere, of RR5 Langton, as well as by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In keeping with Jeanne’s wishes, she will be laid to rest above her late parents George and Alison (Sutherland) Jonckheere in Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery, Port Burwell. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date. Everyone who knew Jeanne is invited to share favourite memories, photos, send or contribute memorial donations to the “Purrfect Companions of Norfolk” or to the “SPCA” via Jeanne’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com or by contacting the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes – Burial and Cremation Services Inc. (519)842-4238, which has been entrusted with all arrangements.
