It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean-Guy Carisse who died peacefully in Ottawa on Sunday, February 12th, 2023, at 60 years of age.
Devoted brother to Alexandre and Noël and beloved son of Guy and Marie. A lifelong artist Jean-Guy was very much a free spirit with a creative outlook and original approach to life. With his passing the world has lost some of its colour.
The family extends its sincere thanks to the doctors and staff at the Elizabeth Bruyère Centre for the constant and gentle care they provided him and making his last days as comfortable and as peaceful as possible.
Friends and family may pay their respects at First Memorial Funeral Services Chapel, 259 Saint Patrick Street, Ottawa, (613)860-2424, from 2pm – 4pm and 7pm – 9 pm on Sunday, February 26, 2023.
A memorial service for Jean-Guy will be held at Saint Patrick’s Roman Catholic Basilica, 220 Kent Street, at 10:30am, Monday, February 27, 2023.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
