Obituary
It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jason “Jay” Sean Campbell, born July 15, 1971, who passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023.
Jason grew up in the Red Deer Lake area, attending school until Grade 9, and then attended Henry Wise Wood until Graduation. Jason worked for several years at Costco where he was a supervisor. He made a lot of friends who have described him as a kind and loving person and said once a friend of Jason’s, a friend for life. Jason went on to take some accounting courses.
Fishing was Jason’s love, and his biggest love was his Colorado Avalanche. He was also a Calgary Stampeders diehard fan for years. Jason will be missed greatly by all his family and friends. May you rest in peace, Jay.
Jason is survived by his daughter Mackenzie (Campbell) Somers; mother and father, John and Gail Campbell; sister Cheryl Davies; brother Derrick Campbell (Rhonda); twin brother Jeffrey Campbell (Angela); nieces, Shaeann Davies, and Madison Campbell (Landon Tkachuk); nephew Brendan Campbell (Jasmin Sulko); grandnephews, Calem Worrall, and Parker; and grandniece Rylan. He was predeceased by his grandmothers, Annie Campbell, and Annie Legare; brother-in-law Rob Davies; and nephew Jarrett Davies.
A private family funeral will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023. In memory of Jason, donations may be made to Kids Up Front at kidsupfrontcalgary.com/
