Devoted father to Christine (David Johnson), loving Dziadzi to Matthew (Liz), Mark (Karen), and Jennifer (Bill), and pra-Dziadzi to four great-grandchildren; Meagan, Kimberly, Connor and Silas. Jan was predeceased by his parents, brothers Adolf and Walter, and his sister Jadwiga.
Jan was born in Poland, and spent his younger years in Palestine and Jerusalem during the war. He made his way to England and reunited with this father and siblings. He married Antonina in 1952 and then decided to immigrate with his wife and daughter to Fort Erie, Canada in 1956. This was a bold a courageous decision, but the right one.
