It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John “Janko” Tomac, at the age of 87, on Sunday, January 1, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Cherished husband and best friend to Magdalena for 61 years. Loving father to John, Edward, Kathy (Randy), and Lore Anne. Beloved Deda to Johnny, Matthew, Anthony, Randy, and Harper. Survived by his sister Mary, and brother Mirko. He will be remembered by many loving nieces and nephews.
Dad was born in Milani, Hrvatska on November 8, 1935. He immigrated to Canada in 1957. Dad had several occupations and jobs before starting his own business, Majestic Tool and Mold LTD, in 1977. He successfully ran the company with his sons until 2016 upon his retirement at 81. He enjoyed traveling to Aruba and North Carolina. Dad enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family, which was his top priority. His grandchildren were his pride and joy and he treasured his time with them.
A funeral visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Avenue, 519-253-7234. On Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 2 -5pm and 7 – 9pm. On Friday, January 6, 2023 a funeral mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi at 11am, 1701 Turner Road, followed by a interment at Windsor Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Online condolences and cherished memories can be shared at www.windsorchapel.com
