Janet Helen Macintosh died peacefully, with both her children by her side, at Mackenzie Health on August 12th, 2023 at the age of 86. Daughter of Maitland and Helen Macintosh, survived by her sister Heather. Predeceased by brothers Ian and Bill and her former husband Nicol Kingsmill. Cherished mother of Sara and Christian (Marta). Beloved Jana, to Maitland, Rachel, Hanna, and Ryan. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Janet grew up in Toronto’s Rosedale neighbourhood where she attended Branksome Hall. Devoted to her family. Janet is remembered as enjoying her summers up north and raising her children in Willowdale. For those wishing to make a donation, in lieu of flowers, please visit the Terry Fox Foundation. She was a passionate supporter and deeply inspired, supporting them in the annual Fall Walk for over twenty years. Our family would like to thank the amazing staff of Mackenzie Hospital Palliative Care Team for their support and kindness while she was ill.
