Passed away on June 19, 2023 James Roger Cooke at the Central NL Regional Health Center, Grand Falls-Windsor at the age of 70 years. He retired from Serca. He was predeceased by parents: Isabella and William Cooke; sister: Betty Pomeroy; nephew: Kevin Cook and Robbie Maher; father-in-law Edgar Gosse Sr.; brothers-in-laws: Edgar Gosse, George Gosse, Derek Gosse, Mick Dinn, and Freeman Austin; sisters-in-law: Emma Austin, Pearl Gosse and Inez Gosse; niece Eileen McDonald and nephew, Reggie Gosse. He leaves to mourn his wife Linda; son, Jimmy Cooke Jr. (Suzanne), daughter, Leanne Cooke (Jay Powell). Also leaving his mother-in-law Annie Gosse; sister, Madeline Dunphy (Ray); brothers: Harold (Lillian), Donny (Donna), Tony (Diane) and Terry; sisters-in-law: Ida, Denise (Alan); brothers-in-law: Lloyd, Gary (Judy), Bob (Rhonda), Terry (Linda), Paul (Lisa) and Len Seymour; his aunt Sister Madeline Cook; cousins: Shirley (Pat) Melvin and Mary Cook. He also leaves his six grandchildren: Evan, Ryan, Ruby, Lila, Amy and Caley; two great-grandchildren Dawson and Beckett, good friends Linda and Melv, Brenda and Barry and Marlene and Terry. As well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Majors Peter and Janice Rowe will conduct the funeral service on Friday at 11 a.m. from the Salvation Army Park Street Citadel with interment to be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Salvation Army cemetery, Caribou Road.
