Obituary
James Patrick Grecco, 68, of Moncton, New Brunswick, passed away suddenly and quite unexpectedly at home on Friday, August 4, 2023.
Jim was born in Verdun Quebec. He was predeceased by his brother Paul of Elliot Lake, Ontario, as well as his parents, Nicholas of Thorold, Ontario, and Lillian LeClair of Charlottetown, PEI.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Carole (Crosby), sons Jeffrey (Stacey Sage), of Kitchener and David (Samantha Mitton) of Moncton. Jim will be missed greatly by his four wonderful grandchildren Anastacia, Caleb, Danica and Bailey.
Jim was proud to have served as a fighter pilot in the Canadian Air Force, rising to rank of Lt Colonel, serving for 27 years. He then enjoyed a second successful career with Cenovus, in Calgary, before finding his true calling as a grandfather and retiree. Jim was an avid golfer and since his last hip surgery had worked his way up to walking the course, as many as five days a week. Jim and Carole loved to travel and had planned to spend this coming winter in Portugal.
Jim was so proud of his family, and while we are all devastated by his loss, we are all so grateful for the wonderful years spent with him.
A gathering to Celebrate Jim’s life will be announced.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to The Humanity Project (thehumanityproject.ca) or your charity of choice.
