Peacefully surrounded by family at her residence in Pain Court on Thursday January 19, 2023, Jakoba Wilhelmina “Joan” Peltier, age 80, of Pain Court , beloved wife of 57 years to Ron Peltier.
Born in Wallaceburg Ontario in 1942, daughter of the late Tonia and John Kingma.
Loving mother of Marc (Jeannette) Peltier and Sandra Peltier. Cherished grandmother of Joel (Beth), Ian, Eric (Emily) and Julia and great grandmother of Henry and Oliver. Dear sister of Pete (Jellie) Kingma and Archie Kingma.
Sister in law of Claudette (Jay) Johnston, Rick (Delores) Peltier and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother and sister in laws Pat (Louis) Ouellette, Shirley (Jim) Blair, Mary Lou (Doug) Flenniken and Robert Peltier.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kate Bailey for her outstanding care and compassion as well as VON for their nursing services especially Stacey and support services provided by Cody.
Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Sunday January 22, 2023 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday January 23, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Immaculée Conception Church, Pain Court.
Burial will be in Immaculée Conception Cemetery.
Donations to V.O.N. (Chatham) or the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Dialysis Unit would be appreciated.
