It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Ivy Caroline Squire (nee Stagg). At the age of 77 years.
She is predeceased by her husband Winston Squire; parents; William and Violet Stagg; sisters: Sadie and Marie; brothers: Arthur, Joe, Albert, Ray, and Tom.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children; Sherry (Joe), Darren (Nellie), Dennis (Patti), Corey (Deanne); sisters: Elsie, Vera (Don), Madeline (Claude), and Glenda; grandchildren: Zenon, Kelsey, Amanda (Rob), Brittany, and Nathan; step-grandchildren; Dion Decker, Hannah Moss, and Sheri-Lynn Bussey; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law: Richard and Anthony Squire; sister-in-law: Bette (Baxter) Lane; special friends: Susanne Hapgood & Bette Hunter
Ivy was known for her outspoken attitude; she had no problems saying what she felt, and we loved her for it. She could always make you laugh or smile. She would never miss out on a game of Bingo. She spent many years working in a fish plant, but her main job was with her family. Ivy was devoted to being there for her family, she was kind, caring and full of tough love when you needed it. We will miss her dearly but know she will live on with us forever in our hearts.
Visitation will be held at Oram’s Funeral Home, Eastport on Thursday, January 5, 2023 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday January 7, 2023 at 11:00 am, from Holy Cross Anglican Church, Eastport.
