It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Isabell Viola McAuley who passed away surrounded by love at Copper Terrace Long Term Care Facility at the age of 73. Isabell will be forever loved by her husband of 52 years, Dawn McAuley. She is the loving mother to Kim McAuley (Joel Bennett), Scott McAuley (Melissa Underwood); mother-in-law to Tanya McAuley; grandmother to Gabrielle McAuley, Madison McAuley, Rori Bennett, and Braeden Mott; and great grandmother to Levi Godfrey-McAuley.
Isabell was born the daughter of the late James and Ruby Stothart (nee Panter).
She is survived by her sister Jean (late Ken) Shoemaker, Bert (late Nancy) Stothart, and her brother-in-law Bob Grant; predeceased by Elanor (Wayne) Heil, Frank (Fran) Stothart, and Marie Grant.
Isabell will be remembered for her years of service as a retired nurse, working 35 years at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance in the Nursery and later in Mother & Baby Care. She loved camping with family and friends, travelling with her husband, watching the Leafs play, and listening to music.
Family and friends are invited to visit and reminisce on Saturday, April 1st, 2023 from 11am to 1pm, at the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington St. West, Chatham, 519-352-2710. A Celebration of Isabell’s Life will follow at 1pm. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
If you want to remember Isabell in the best possible way, simply say “I love you” one more time to those you hold dear.
