It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Irene Mary Hickey of Grand le Pierre announces her sudden passing. Irene passed away at the her home in Grand le Pierre on Monday, September 25th, 2023, at the age of 75.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her sons, Glen Hickey (Michelle) of Brooks, AB, Dwayne Hickey (Jennifer) of St. John’s and Carl Hickey (Allison) of Brooks, AB; daughters, Pricilla Monahan (Jamie) of Woodstock, ON and Patti Lynn Hickey (Shane) of Brooks, AB; grandchildren, Kayla (Joey), Brian, Cassandra (Jack), Owen, Colby, Alyssa, Kirea and Kade; great-grandchildren, Carter, Brianna, Peyton and Elijah; sisters, Mary Bolt (Lloyd) of Marystown and Juanita Hynes (Leonard) of Medicine Hat, AB; brothers, Leonard Lavhey (Jenny) of Terrenceville and Kevin Lavhey of Terrenceville; sisters-in-law, Carrie Lavhey of Garnish and Cindy Lavhey of Spaniards Bay; special friends, Sarah Kearley, Beatrice Evans, Whillimena Evans, Regina Bolt and Vivian Byrnes; plus a large circle of family and friends.
Irene was predeceased by husband, Norman Hickey; parents, Archibald & Mary Myles and George & Janet Lavhey; sisters, Bertha Lavhey and Janet Lavhey; brothers, George Lavhey, Roger Lavhey and Carl Lavhey and sister-in-law, Marjorie Lavhey.
The Hickey Family will be accepting visitors at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Grand Le Pierre on

10am – 12noon
Funeral Service will take place at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Grand Le Pierre on Friday, September 29th, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery, Grand Le Pierre.
In Irene’s memory, in-lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hickey Family.
