Ronald Russell Martin, 88, of Résidence Au Bénaise, St-Antoine and formerly of Cocagne, NB, passed away on Wednesday, June 14th, 2023, at his residence.
He was the son of the late Maxime and the late Laura (Meunier) Martin.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as a mechanic with Catterpillar (Cat) in Moncton. His passion was music, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was very involved in his community of Cocagne.
He is survived by his daughters: Lucia Dugas (Serge) and Susan LeBlanc (David), both of Cocagne; his grandsons: Marc (Gabrielle) and Justin; his great grandchildren: Abigail and Olivier; his sister-in-law, Edith Myers (Pierre) of Cocagne; his niece, Emilie and his nephew and godson, Philippe.
He was predeceased by his wife, Rita (Myers) Martin (2018) and also by his daughter, Helen.
Visitation will be held from St-Pierre RC Church Funeral Salon, 2000 Route 535, Cocagne, NB, on Monday, June 19th, 2023 from 10 am to noon and from 1 pm to 2:15 pm, followed by the funeral in the church at 2:30 pm.
In Ronald’s memory, a donation can be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.
