Moncton, N.-B – We, the family of “Bobby” Wood regret to announce his sudden passing at the Moncton Hospital, Moncton, NB. Bobby was the son of Eileen (nee Meagher) Wood and the late Allen Wood, Auld’s Cove NS.
As a child, Bobby attended the Halifax and Amherst School for the Deaf. He made lifelong friends there and they all held a special place in his heart. Bobby was a Thalidomide Survivor and despite his many health issues over the years, he never let himself be limited or defined by his condition. While attending school, he received many awards for wrestling. Bobby loved to bowl, play cards and darts and gatherings with his many friends.
Bobby is survived by his son Mark Wood (Moncton, NB), Mother, Eileen Wood (Auld’s Cove, NS), brothers Stephen (Antigonish, NS), David Wood/Terri Clements (Auld’s Cove, NS) and Brian/Wilena Wood (Auld’s Cove, NS), many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Allen Wood. The family would like to thank the doctors/nurses of the Moncton Hospital for their care during Bobby’s illness. Very special thank you to Louisette Boucher and Mark for all they have done for Bobby over the years.
