Calvert, Ida May (nee Bieth) –
Of Collingwood, formerly of Thornbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday September 13, 2023 at Campbell House Hospice Collingwood in her 86th year. Ida was born on May 11, 1938 in Kitchener, Ontario to parents Lillian (nee Hallman) and Robert Bieth. Loving mother of Larry Calvert, Leslie Chislett (Bill) and Leanne Calvert (Philip Tarlo). Cherished grandmother of Maddison Calvert-Tarlo (Alex Lee), Kimberley Tarlo (Adam McIsaac) and Joshua Tarlo (Ruby Fossil). Great grandmother of Malakai McIsaac. Lovingly remembered by her sister Mary Oberholtzer. Ida will be missed by her nephews Bobby (Nancy), John and niece Nancy (predeceased) Oberholtzer. She is predeceased by her former husband Jack Calvert.
Ida worked for many years as a caregiver with the Red Cross, visiting and caring for her patients. She also worked with the Thornbury Public Utility Commission and stayed at home for a few years to raise her young family. A special thank you to all the wonderful staff at Campbell House Hospice, staff of Collingwood Nursing Home, Melanie Purdy from Community Care and Dr. Lauren McLachlin.
Following Ida’s wishes, there will be no Funeral or Celebration of Life.
