It is with heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear husband and father, Ian Patrick MacLean, on 5 January 2023 at the age of 91 years. Born in Toronto on 9 April 1931 to Mary (nee Rankin) and Alfred Charles MacLean. Loving and devoted husband to Pamela Jane Ruth (nee Skinner) in their 66th year of marriage. Father to Stewart (Shelley Hipwell) Leann (Robert Grenon) and Neil (Claudette Charron). Grandfather to Meagan (Scott Lamont), Ian (Chantal Lafond), Jacob, Miriam, and Boris, and great-grandfather to Vincent and Emilia Lamont. Predeceased by his elder sister Margaret Heeley, he is survived by his older brother Hay Gordon MacLean and his many nieces and nephews.
Joining the RCAF in 1949 he spent 25 years in uniform, with postings to France and Germany, prior to becoming a civilian employee of DND.
