It is with profound sadness, that we announce the passing of Herbert Randell Hodder of Lewisporte, formerly of Creston North. Herb passed peacefully away at the North Haven Manor in Lewisporte on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023, at the age of 92.
Herb was predeceased by his first wife, Jessie in 1985; parents, Hannah & Thomas Hodder; his siblings; and step-daughter, Ruth Gillingham.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife, Rita; son, Randy (Patsy); granddaughters, Krista Lilly (Steven) and Kelli Hodder (Russ Bungay); 8 great-grandchildren; Rita’s children, Alvin Ball (Darlene), Wade Ball (Donna) and Gwen Reddicks (Winston); Rita’s grandchildren, Tiffany Howe, Kayla Picco (Richard), Travis Ball (Jessica), Charlene Richards (Chris), Sherry Wells (Robert) and Tracy Gillingham; Rita’s 3 great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
The Hodder Family will be accepting visitors at Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South on
Friday, August 4th
2pm – 4pm
7pm – 9pm
Saturday, August 5th
10am – 12noon
Funeral Service will take place at Calvary Pentecostal Church, Creston North on Saturday, August 5th, 2023 at 2:00 pm.
Interment to follow at Calvary Pentecostal Cemetery, Creston North.
In Herb’s memory, in-lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Merge.
