Obituary of Helen Michaelson
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Helen (Shaw) Michaelson on August 18th at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
She will be lovingly and deeply missed by her fur daughter Molly and fur son Oscar as well as her sons James Michaelson, Jeff Michaelson (Rosa), daughter Janice Hickes (Michaelson). Her three grandchildren Ash, Mandy, and Alyssa Hickes (DJ) and the apple of her eye, her great-grandchild Blythe Hickes.
Born March 13th, 1944, to the late Maurice and Mary Shaw. Helen was born in Surrey, England, moving when she was two after the war and residing in Saint John N.B.
Helen spent many many years working at Kmart Lancaster Mall, followed by Tim Hortons market square for many years, then retiring from Pizza Delight on Westmorland Rd.
Our family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the Regional Hospital Emergency Department, As well as nurse Brianna from SICU.
We would definitely like to thank everyone for their absolute kindness at this time.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). A private family interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, any and all donations may be sent to Heart and Stroke Foundation, SPCA Animal Shelter, or Canadian Cancer Society.
