It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Harold (Hassie) Clarke of Dalhousie, husband of Jeannette, who passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife and Loved ones at the age of 70. Origianly from Madgalen Island, QC the son of the late Errol and Donna Clarke.
Harold is survived by his wife Jeannette; step children Alain (Vanessa) and Marie-Eve (Fred); 3 grand children Mikael, Madyson and Pamela; brothers and sisters Mona (Georges), Waldren (Bonnie), Garnet (Polly), Terry, Donna, Oscar (Emilienne), Miles (Gail), Jennifer (Wendell), Mildred, Basil (Donna) as well as Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his loving parents Errol and Donna Clark and by many friends.
Harold was known to be a great joker, many didn’t know wether to take him seriously or not. It was always a pleasure to having him around.
Harold started fishing at a young age. He then left early to go out in the working world. His passion for fishing and driving trucks was very nice to see. Last year he went back to fish lobster on the Island after 36 years, he was some proud.
A special celebration of life for Harold will be held at the Dalhousie N.B.I.P Club on January 14, 2023 from 2h00 PM to 4h00 PM.
A truck run will be held before the celebration. Everyone wishing to take part, please be at the Osprey Truck Stop for 1 PM.
A funeral service will be held at a later date on the Madgeland Island. Arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
