Obituary
On Saturday, June 10, 2023, the Lord took Hae Bloh to his heavenly home. He passed away in St Joseph’s Hospital. He had been in the hospital for two and a half weeks after being admitted for pneumonia and a heart attack.
Hae Bloh is predeceased by his wife La Jue, who passed away in 1983. He has eight children: He Blut (daughter) who lives in Hamilton, ON, Heh Gay (daughter) who lives in Green Bay, WI, Lay Lay (daughter) who lives in Huron, SD, Poe Tho (son) who lives in Thailand, Moo Moo (daughter) who lives in Omaha, NE, Lu Kaw, (daughter) who died in Myanmar at the age of 2 weeks old, Ray Lo Paw (daughter) who lives in Edmonton, AB, and Dah Ray Paw (daughter) who passed away in 2002. He also had 31 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.
Throughout his life, Hae Bloh took on many jobs and travelled and worked extensively throughout Myanmar. He served in the Karen army, he was a lumberjack, a miner, a farmer, and an elephant trainer. He was also involved in serving the churches in the Karen state in Myanmar, in the refugee camps in Thailand and in the Karen expatriate community in Edmonton, AB. He was heavily involved in planting churches and providing leadership to churches.
A Visitation and Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Providence Canadian Reformed Church, 582 Southcote Rd., Ancaster. Viewing from 6-7 p.m. Funeral Service to begin at 7 p.m. with refreshments to follow. A Graveside Service will be held at Mt. Hamilton Cemetery on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 10 a.m. Viewing at Providence Church from 9-9:30 a.m., with a procession to Mt. Hamilton to follow. Reception to follow the Service at Providence Church.
