Lurette, Guy
Guy has taken his wings to meet our creator on Friday, February 24 at 9:55 pm. Guy passed away peacefully in his wife’s arms and surrounded by family after a 40 day battle. He is now reunited with his beloved parents Ronald & Lucille (Schryburt), stepfather, André Lussier, grand parents, aunts, uncles and all his family and friends who took this journey ahead of him, welcoming him home.
He will keep watching over his loved ones; his wife, Julie, his children, Adam, Crystal Hilton (Terry), Jonathan St-Amand (Heather), Lisa Ann Vanasse, Alyssa & Grégory Raymond and his grandchildren, Christopher, Jordan and Sophie. He is survived by his sister, Nicole (Bruce Hymers), brothers, Michel, Claude and Daniel (Diane), His mother in-law, Hélène Pagé and brother in-law, Michel Arthur Normand, a niece and nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Guy will be remembered fondly by his best friends, brothers from another mother, Allan, Stephen and Mike Connolly.
He will forever be remembered for his need to care for others, always wondering if he did enough.
A special thank you to all the wonderful staff that took such good care of him at the Queensway Carleton Hospital. Angels and heroes.
Friends may support the family at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 11 a.m until a service in the chapel at 1 p.m. A reception will follow. Inurnment to take place in the spring.
Donations may be made in Guy’s honour to the Diabetes Society.
